Chris Brantley

Axis Music Academy’s Founding Guitar Instructor Chris Brantley is a veteran musician from Metro Detroit. Currently playing guitar with the legendary Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Chris has been mastering guitar for 35 years and has shared the stage with various artists including Alto Reed, Dave Mason, Mark Farner, and Levon Helm. While touring the US he has shared the bill with Heart, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Travis Tritt, Jack Bruce, April Wine, Pat Benetar, Kansas, Grand Funk Railroad, Kenny Waynd Shepperd, Jimmy Vaughan, and many others. In addition to touring, Chris also has a successful solo acoustic act and music instruction career spanning 20 years. Influenced by several styles and techniques, Chris will demonstrate how to apply them on the guitar and in various contexts. Bring your guitar with you and even if you have never played before, Chris will have you rockin a tune on your axe before you leave.
